You've heard of Dubai's record breaking Burj Khalifa, the tallest free-standing structure in the world at 828 metres tall. Well, it appears Dubai is about to shatter the record book's tallest category once again. Hard Rock Café says it is building the world's tallest guitar at 118 feet (approximately 36 metres) high to mark the café's re-opening at its new location in Dubai Festival City (DFC) this coming October.

First, though, we’ve got a half portion of Peking Duck (Dh298 for a full portion) to get through. Having eaten the original thing in Beijing last year, I didn’t think the Hukama would be able to match up – few others in the UAE have done so thus far. To my surprise, though, they acquit themselves admirably. Dubai boasts of a number of the world's biggest and tallest structures, not to mention having at least five Guinness world record entries within one square kilometre in Downtown Dubai. The Guinness World Records presented a plaque yesterday recognising ‘At.mosphere' as the world's ‘Highest Restaurant from Ground Level".
