Ever wish you could take a trip to Dubai? Well, this may be the next best thing. Photographer Gerald Donovan spent a grueling three and a half hours baking in the sun to take 4,250 shots of the city with his Canon 7D.

He took the photos from the construction site of the Ubora Towers, where the temperature at the time was nearly 100° in the shade. At the end of it all, his camera was almost too hot to touch.

It was all worth it, though, because he managed to stitch it all together into a 45 gigapixel image that captures everything from the beauty of the Burj Khalifa (pictured above) to a lady in a bikini enjoying a nice rest by a pool (you can see it by following the link below — it’s one of the panorama’s hightlights).
