The screen offers a sensational illumination inside Prive, an exclusive night club attached to the newly-opened Armani Hotel at Burj Khalifa.

The 500-employee company, which will take part at the Big 5 PMV exhibition in Dubai from November 22 to 25, has supplied cranes to outstanding developments and building projects such as the Burj Khalifa, DIFC, Emirates Mall and Jumeirah Beach Residences in Dubai, the Reem Island Development, Adnoc headquarters and the ADIA Tower in Abu Dhabi, among others.

For Hend Al Mutawa, the stakes are high. The Emirati designer is planning the world's highest fashion show on April 14 at At.mosphere on the 122nd level of the Burj Khalifa Tower. "I was looking for a venue for my debut solo fashion show and figured if I wanted it to be the best show, with the highest level of fashion, why not host in the highest venue in the world?

Greek composer and pianist Yanni, acclaimed for his instrumental music, will perform in front of the iconic Burj Khalifa on October 28, organisers have announced. Yanni's Dubai performance follows a concert in Muscat, Oman, at the Sultan Qaboos University Cultural Centre Grand Hall.

Giorgio Armani Group said it achieved turnover of more than €6 billion (Dh31.38 billion) in 2010, with net profit rising 80 per cent over 2009 to €161.0 million. The group, which operates the Armani Hotel in Dubai's Burj Khalifa, also announced the opening of more than 80 points of sale in 2010, with worldwide shops, branded facilities and outlets amounting to 1,800.

The group, which included a child, found themselves stuck at a height of 430m en-route to the observatory deck which is located on the 124th floor.

Dubai: At the stroke of midnight on Friday, some 500,000 spectators had gathered around the world's tallest standing structure, Burj Khalifa, to celebrate the new year with display of fireworks.

After a few delays, designer Giorgio Armani formally opened the world’s first Armani Hotel in the Burj Khalifa on Tuesday and said his company would, in partnership with Dubai-based Emaar Properties, open 10 more such hotels over the next 10 years.
