Exterior cladding of Burj Khalifa began in May 2007 and was completed in September last year. With a total of 24,348 cladding panels over a total curtain wall area of 132,190 square meters, the tower’s shimmering exterior minimizes heat transmission and saves energy.

The total 103,000 square meters of glass used in the panels can cover 14 standard football pitches.

The two major companies delivering glass for this unique project were Glaston’s customers,
White Aluminium and Al Abbar.
