I’m so happy that “Designer” Hotels weren’t just a trend, because seriously, if you’re a fan of say, Giorgio Armani, isn’t it nice to stay surrounded in the luxury that is Armani?

“Every aspect of the hotel is a reflection of my aesthetic philosophy, and its position and will offer my guests the chance to experience a complete Armani lifestyle”, says the designer.

The Armani Hotel in the heart of Milan’s fashion district is right across the street from the city’s most famous shopping street on Via Manzoni.

Architect Enrico A. Griffini built the home of Armani’s $2.1 billion brand in 1937.

The hotel has ninety-five luxurious guest rooms where the esthetic is “luxury, calm and beauty”.  Rooms are all furnished with Armani Casa Linens, fabrics and custom furniture. On site is also a gourmet restaurant, Armani/Ristorante located on the seventh floor that overlooks the city’s skyline; there’s a fitness gym, a swimming pool, a specially designed business center with meeting rooms and of course, an Armani Spa, equipped with six treatment rooms covering almost 13,000 square feet.

Giorgio Armani says he wanted the interiors to be “practical, logical, and rational without losing glamour and richness of quality.” The uncharacteristic neutral tones really support his wants, wishes and desires.

This Armani Hotel is the second in the Armani Hotel chain, the collaboration between Giorgio Armani and Emaar Properties (one of the Arab world’s largest developers) opened another Armani Hotel in Dubai in the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa last year. If the rumors are true, expect to see more Armani Hotels popping up around the globe, as insiders say city center hotels in New York, Shanghai, London, Marrakech, Marassi in Egypt and Tokyo are part of the master Armani plan.

In an interview with Women’s World Daily, Armani spoke of Milan, stating, “I wasn’t born here, but this is my city…This is an act of love for my city”.

Prices for rooms at the Armani range from 500 euros or $690US for an Armani Deluxe Room up to a mind-blowing 11,000 euros or $15,000US for the Presidential suite. More info ans photos
