World Cup fans are in for a treat as “One”, a luxurious Marquee built especially for the occasion of 2010 FIFA World Cup, is set to open its doors today to receive spectators of the upcoming global event running from 11th June to 11th July.

The organisers have planned an extravagant launch that will see the famous Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram performing at the Marquee, in addition to the presence of Naseem Hamid, the British, Yemeni origin, boxer and former Bantamweight and Featherweight champion, as the Guest of Honour.

Presented by Du, and supported by Coca-Cola as the Official Partner, the high-end venue will be one of the main attractions of the upcoming Dubai Summer Surprises 2010. Fully-equipped with state-of-the-art 35 Plasma screens in addition to two 2 X 3 meters giant screens, the Marquee will also offer its visitors a great menu of food and beverages in addition to shiesha to set the mood of excitement and cheering across the 2 floored venue.

Ghanim Al Ghanim, MD of Glory Horizons, the company behind organizing the month long event said:

The festivities of the day will start at 4:30 pm with jugglers and entertainers to interact with all the crowds around the Marquee area, then at 6:00 a colourful parade of more than 40 performers, courtesy of DSS, will tour the whole area until they reach the ‘One’ patio, creating a great festive atmosphere. Later on the crowd will be joined by Nancy Ajram, who will perform some of her best songs in the presence of the local and regional media in addition to the guest of honour the boxing legend Naseem Hamid.
