Burj Dubai, the tallest tower in the world developed by Emaar Properties, is set to be fully covered under the mobile communication  network within next two weeks as telecom service providers – Du and Etisalat have almost implemented enhanced mobile services in the skyscraper.

The move would enable residents and visitors to avail range of services including IPTV, broadband with 24 Mbps, voice telephony, and video on demand in the prestigious tower from January 4.

Du, having 2G and 3.75G network capabilities, informed in a statement, “Now, all those who visit or work in Burj Dubai will enjoy seamless connectivity for making voice and video calls, as well as for mobile internet and other mobile services from Du.”

The 800 meter tall Burj Dubai would have 49 floors of office space and 3000 underground parking spaces. The tower has been equipped with 57 elevators with the main elevator rises 504 meters.

The Burj Dubai tower, having 1044 apartments, has mixed structure constructed by using 31,400 metric tons of steel rebar.
