Brits enjoying cheap flights to Dubai could splash out on a stay in the new luxurious Armani hotel.

The world’s first hotel under the Armani branding has been opened in Dubai and offers 160 luxury rooms and suites. It is located on the first eight floors as well as the 38th and 39th of the Burj Khalifa – currently the world’s tallest building.

Designed to give guests a sophisticated but minimal experience, the hotel has all the features expected of a top-name resort. As well as a spa and a nightclub, there will be five restaurants serving a range of international cuisine and a special private members’ club lounge.

There is a growing trend among designers to enter the hotel business, with names such as Elie Saab behind the Tiger Woods resort in Dubai and Christian Lacroix creating the Du Petit Moulin in Paris.

Burj Khalifa is over 828 metres high and has more than 160 floors.
