International water feature specialist Crystal is delighted to have supported major contemporary artist Jaume Plensa, on the 'World Voices' sculpture at the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai, U.A.E. Commissioned by EMAAR Properties. The art installation has the pride of place in the Burj Khalifa's dramatic residential entrance lobby in the iconic tower - now the world's tallest building.

A Canadian investment company has said it is looking to spend up to $6 billion on distressed real estate projects in Dubai, adding that it has expressed an interest in acquiring the much-delayed Dubai Pearl development.

The Pullman doesn't have all the amenities of Dubai's resort-style hotels. I like business hotels, however: they're often quiet and well run. It appears to have a sense of humour, too: its Soda Box recalls a 1950s soda bar in bright, Willy Wonka colours. This year on January 4, the Accession Day of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, the super skyscraper completes four years and continues to remain the undisputable leader of tall towers globally.

A Burj Khalifa resident, on conditions of anonymity, told Emirates 24|7 that the conceirge and staff have been quiet and are not speaking about the matter. There are some balaconies, which are open with just a railing." The 147th floor is a commercial floor and is unoccupied. The tower has balconies on the 76th, 124th and 148th floor.
