More than 300 property projects set for completion

Around 307 property projects of the 980 registered projects in Dubai are expected to get completed in the due course, according to the Government of Dubai’s bond prospectus. Quoting Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) in the prospectus supplement on the London Stock Exchange, the government said of the total number of registered projects, 46 projects have been completed, while another 307 are expected to be completed in due course.

Dubai-based interiors contractor Depa Ltd fell into the red in the first half of the year due to an outstanding claim relating to a project, it said on Thursday, sending its shares lower. Depa said in a statement it made a net loss of 103.6 million dirhams ($28.21 million) due to a claim relating to Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower in Dubai.

British engineering firm Hyder Consulting said on Tuesday that it was on track to beat profit forecasts in its full-year results, despite still being owed GBP9.4m ($14.9m) by Dubai clients.The company, which advised on Dubai’s Burj Khalifa project, said it was poised to report full year revenue and operating profit “slightly ahead” of market expectations, after absorbing operating costs of around GBP3m.
