The UAE will witness a first of its kind event next month – the world’s highest fashion show.

The Nabrman fashion show will be held in Atmosphere, on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, on 14 April. The restaurant sits at a height of over 442 metres and will play host to designs from Nabrman, a UAE-based fashion house led by Emirati entrepreneur Hend Al Mutawa, has been turning traditional Abayas high-end since it launched two years ago.

Al Mutawa said: “We wanted to do our own first bespoke fashion show in a venue that symbolised our aspirations. And what could be a better venue than the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa, and Atmosphere, the Guinness World Record holder for the world’s highest luxury dining lounge from the ground floor.”

Nabrman will display its winter collection at the Atmosphere. The collection is created with a conventional touch, involving velvet fabric of superior quality, yet, ensuring the blend of gracefulness within each design. The velvet fabrics utilised in the collection comprise of velvet and even a limited edition laser-cut silky velvet imported from the UK.

“Inspired by nature, specifically the nature of sea, I have boldly introduced a new Abaya cut as well as a unique design using pearls and metallic embroidery on the shoulders, creating timeless pieces in the fashion world of Abayas,” Al Mutawa said. More info
