Iraq's southern Basra Province is planning to build a 1,152 metre "mega tall" skyscraper which will be taller than Dubai's Burj Khalifa, currently the tallest building in the world, and the under-construction 1km Kingdom Tower in Jeddah.
The 828-metre Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower in Dubai, UAE, is the inspiration behind the design of 632-meter Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest, and the world’s second tallest tower.
Finnish lift maker Kone Corporation said that it has inked a deal with Jeddah Economic Company to provide elevators for Kingdom Tower, which is touted to become the world’s tallest tower once completed.
